Vivo NEX with Snapdragon 845 and dual-rear cameras launched




Vivo launched its new flagship Vivo NEX in China with 91.2% screen-to-body ratio, Vivo uses the pop-up front camera and ditched the standard earpiece in lieu of Screen SoundCasting Technology, which turns entire screen into a speaker. The NEX also features a third-generation in-display fingerprint sensor, which offers 50% better at recognition accuracy with a broader detection area and 10% faster unlock speed.



The Vivo NEX comes with a 6.59-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display with 19.3:9 aspect ratio. The phone is powered with 2.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage options.

The smartphone sports dual-rear camera with, primary of 12-megapixel sensor and secondary of 5-megapixel sensor with (4-axis OIS) and on the front there is an 8-megapixel sensor with module is hidden and camera pop up when is in use. The smartphone runs on Funtouch OS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. The smartphone packs a 4,000mAh battery and it has a headphone jack. Vivo NEX has AI capabilities. Vivo is also rolling out updates to its China-specific Jovi voice assistant, which can now launch apps and identify objects on a user's screen.



Vivo is also selling a base variant of the NEX with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage, which will be available for 3,898 yuan (around Rs. 41,000). The variant with the Snapdragon 845 SoC will retails for 4,498 yuan (around Rs. 47,3000) and the version with 256GB of storage  will set at 4,998 yuan (around Rs. 52,600).
